Orchid Lakes- A suberb trio of lakes lakes stocked with tench up to 9lbs, carp up to 40lbs and a host of other large pike, catfish, perch and so-on.

The Owner- Marsh Pratley has been the owner of Orchid Lakes since Sept'95 during which time he has transformed the fishery into one of the UK's leading big fish water. The amount of work undertaken by Marsh has been little less than miraculous, as you will see upon your first visit when he or one of his bailiffs will take you on a guided tour. Marsh has a total understanding of anglers and has been able to use his vast knowledge to create a fishery which will act as a bench mark for all other similar fisheries. Marsh's pedigree as a big fish angler is almost unparalleled and has a list of personal bests which are the envy of anglers up and down the country. Perhaps his greatest angling feat was when he was a member of a small group of anglers who dedicated themselves to the capture of a British record bream from the legendary Queensford Lagoon. The amount of time and effort spent in this quest was incredible. Marsh's finest hour came with the capture of three bream in one night, all of which came within ounces of the then British record. As a member of the British Record Fish Committee, Marsh has also served as General Secretary of the National Association of Specialist Anglers, Chairman of the Carp Society together with other committee involvements at a national level.
